Moving Files to P5 USRDIR directory

Checklist

You should check if you have downloaded the following items:

  • BGM Cpk

  • P5R Bustups Cpk

  • P5EX_PRX_PATCH.7z file

  • P5EX.7z file

I highly recommend that you put these into their own folder; that way, it’ll be a lot easier to find and save you some headaches during this installation process.

Note: If you are using 4K bustups mod, remove "4K" from the file name and rename it to "P5RBustups_03.cpk".

Locating installation folder

Now, go to your RPCS3 game list, and right click on P5 > Open Install Folder.

This will open the directory where P5 is installed in the emulator. Make sure to check if there’s a folder called USRDIR, as this folder is extremely important and it is best you have that folder open for the remainder of this guide.

Move the BGM CPK and the P5R Bustups CPK into the USRDIR folder.

Next, extract the P5EX_PRX_PATCH.7z.Inside this, find the USRDIR folder and open it.

Copy its content to P5’s USRDIR folder.

Verify setup

Alright, you should have the following items in your P5’s USRDIR’s folder:

  • ExpandedBGM_02.cpk

  • P5RBustups_03.cpk

  • mod.sprx

  • config.yml

Note: If you want to know more about these files, please visit Shujynx's guide for more details.

What's next?

After verifying that you have the files in your P5's USRDIR folder, we need to apply P5EX's patches.
